How I work

A clear path from idea to safe, working AI

Good AI projects start with the business, not the technology. My approach keeps every step grounded in your goals, your data and your risk appetite.

1

Understand

I start with your business, not the technology: your goals, processes, data and constraints, and how your people already use AI.

  • Conversations with leadership and key teams
  • Map processes, pain points and goals
  • Understand current (shadow) AI use
  • Review your systems, data and constraints
2

Define

Turn needs into well-defined use cases with clear owners, success criteria and expected value, then prioritise them.

  • Describe each use case: who, what, why
  • Define success criteria and expected value
  • Assess data sensitivity and risk
  • Prioritise by value, effort and risk
3

Choose

Select the most efficient solution for each use case: an AI service, a custom build or plain automation with no AI at all.

  • Compare AI services, custom builds and plain automation
  • Weigh quality, cost, lock-in and data protection
  • Run a small pilot where it reduces uncertainty
  • Recommend one clear option per use case
4

Deploy securely

Roll out in a way you control, with access rights, data protection, logging and human oversight built in.

  • Configure security, access rights and logging
  • Integrate with the tools your team already uses
  • Keep humans in the loop for key decisions
  • Document everything for your team
5

Enable & govern

Train your teams, put a clear AI policy in place and review results, so adoption sticks and stays safe.

  • Train employees with practical workshops
  • Put an AI usage policy in place
  • Measure adoption and value
  • Review and adapt as tools and rules change

AI, or not AI?

The best solution isn’t always AI

AI is powerful, but it isn’t free, and it isn’t always the most reliable answer. Many repetitive tasks are solved better by simple automation or a small change to a process. I recommend whatever solves your problem most efficiently, even when that means less AI.
